The United States Karate association claims that there are over
25 million people studying karate in the United States. Another major
organization claims that there are over 75 million people studying the martial
arts worldwide.
When these organizations state that people are studying the
martial arts, they are not talking about the Tae Box video tapes sold
on television. They are not including the millions of health club
practitioners who work out with no resistance measures meant to keep the roles
of health club memberships at full capacity. These same organizations are
not including the millions upon millions of people who pay their annual health
club membership fee to maintain their memberships, yet they rarely show up at
these Bouncy health clubs to work out. Just a hint, maybe they don't want
you to show up, but want you to continue to pay your dues.
If you are thinking of giving a loved one an annual membership
to a health club, then you may want to consider giving that same loved one a one
year membership at a local Kempo/Karate/Martial Arts school. Why, at the
health club when people show up, the house gets worried that there are too many
people; at a Karate school when people show up, they are well received and put to work
at their respective martial art. In other words; at a health club one can
slack off and nobody is the wiser; at a Karate school everybody knows when one
is slacking off.
